From the Presidents Corner - November 2025 Continued Presentations in AI: For this month’s meeting will be on the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Critical Infrastructure Security. . More details to be released as we get closer to the date. The topic will be presented by Shawn Loveland, COO, of Resecurity.com. The subject of Shawns presentation is: Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Overview & Uses. Shawn’s presentation will provide an overview of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) and how it can be used to show: 1. Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Overview 2. How it can be used to: a. Not all CTI is the same. What to think about when utilizing CTI b. How CTI can aid investigations. c. How CTI can be used to protect departments from becoming a victim of cybercrime or being breached by threat actors with the intent of monitoring investigations against cartels and other sophisticated actors. Future Meeting: Follow up. A case study on how CTI was used in an investigation. Face to Face: This month’s meeting (November 19) will be held only virtually via Teams meeting. We were not able to reserve a conference room in the Howell library for November. Please plan to attend this month’s meeting as it not only does the topic sound interesting and I’m sure it will be informative. The presentation explored the shift from hype to practical implementation of generative AI, the sophisticated threat landscape targeting AI/ML systems, and key updates to the OWASP LLM Top 10 for 2025. The topic was presented by David Benas, Associate Principal Consultant Black Dock The subject of David’s presentation is: Navigating AI/ML Security: The Essentials for 2025 This presentation provides: - Lessons learned from real-world engagements with AI/ML security in 2024. - Insights into the evolving threat landscape and its implications for AI/ML systems. - A deeper understanding of critical changes in the OWASP LLM Top 10 for 2025. . Face to Face: This month’s meeting (Oct 22nd) was held only virtually via Teams meeting. We were not able to reserve a conference room in the Howell library for October.
